Gornitzky is representing A.Y. Yam-Kinneret Yazamut Nadlan Ltd. in an administrative petition that was filed against the Mayor of Tiberias, the city engineer and the Municipality with a request to receive the building permit for a luxurious residential project “Agam” on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. The project consists of 207 apartments, a commercial floor and parking garages.
According to the petition, despite the fact that the Tiberias Local Planning and Building Committee had approved the project, and all of the terms and conditions for the issuance of the building permit for the project have been complied with and official authorization has even been granted for the project on time by the city engineer, the new mayor of the city, Mr. Ron Cobi, decided to harass the project by cancelling it, and taking it over, simply due to the reason that his great grandfather’s home had been constructed in the very same location and, according to Cobi, this is sacred land that should be redeemed.
Represented by partners Moriel Matalon, Ofer Tzur and Itzchak Lazar and Adv. Tal Sela.
